![]() Are bangs right for you? Bangs have been in style since early 2007 and are still very popular as seen worn by celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Kate Moss, Reese Witherspoon, and Rachel Bilson. Styles range from blunt straight across to sweeping to whispy/piecey bangs. For those of you considering those ever-popular bangs, here are a few things you should consider before you run out to get them. • DO make sure that your bangs balance out your face shape well. Bangs aren’t for everyone, the key is balance. If you have an oval face, DON’T cut a very heavy bang because it will add too much weight to your face. • If you have a round face, DO try sweeping bangs as blunt bangs will create the illusion of width. • DO add whispy/choppy bangs if you have a square face to create more dimensio. DON’T cut blunt bangs as you will create too many angles on your face. • DON’T get thick blunt cut bangs if you’re not prepared for the maintenance. They need to be blow-dryed and straightened every day and trimmed every few weeks to keep their shape.
