The New York foursome of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha have been inspiring hairstyles for viewers since the show began in 1998. Now with a hit movie released in 2008 the ladies will be on the big screen, their hair will be bigger than ever. Here is a look into the unique style of each character.  Carrie: Sarah Jessica Parker’s long blonde locks have been a staple of the character since the show first aired. The texture of her hair has varied from tight ringlets to soft waves to straight and sleek. Her hair is naturally curly so if she wanted to add bangs she would need to straighten her hair.  Samantha: The character of Samantha, portrayed by Kim Cattrall, has a style that is a throwback to the 30’s and 40’s. She has the elegant vintage Hollywood style of Jean Harlow or Jayne Mansfield. (insert pics)  Miranda: Cynthia Nixon’s character Miranda, starts out the show with a boyish fire red haircut that is basically a mullet. Miranda’s medium length red hair has always been was pretty bland in the series but towards the end she lightened the tint to a softer, more natural looking red and shortens her hair to a length above the shoulders.  Charlotte: Kristin Davis’s long brown hair has been a consistent trademark of her character. This style of hair gives her that classic beautiful girl next door appeal. Having her down and often curled makes her appear sweet and enchanting.
